In recent years, the word „creativity“ has acquired a new meaning. To be creative means being flexible, beeing able to find decisions and solutions to unexpected situations and having a broader approach to both – work and life. A creative person sees the world and life in a larger color spectrum which provides him with greater satisfaction and gives meaning to his existence.
Each of us has creative abilities. Regrettably, usually they are being suppressed since an early age. In childhood we often hear: „you won‘t manage to do that“, „you draw awfully“, „an elephant has stamped on your ear“, „you have to graduate conservatory to play nicely“ etc. Later, we start believing that ourselves. Then, as a protective mechanism, appears fear and unwillingness to do anything – to draw, to model, to dance and sing… There occurs a shame – a feeling that is incident only to human.
During the art therapy sessions, adults suddenly discover joy and satisfaction of doing simple actions. They feel like having returned to some kind of very important, forgotten world, they rediscover very meaningful, once lost piece of themselves.. They feel BEING THEMSELVES again. Gradually, they restore their confidence and start to believe that they may be gifted and exceptional. They start to understand how much they have lost by disassociating from creativity, art, the world of sound and motion.
It is important to know that the sessions take place in a safe and supportive environment where everyone has an opportunity to BE HEARD, UNDERSTOOD AND ACCEPTED. Here people also learn to listed to others, because this ability changes the quality of our life and work too.
Art therapy methods in communication trainings
This is a new model of psychological training. It allows participants to mobilize the creative potencial and invoke the creative expression. Thanks to this potencial, interaction among participants takes on a life and becomes more dinamic.
The aim of the art therapy is a deeper understanding of yourself and your problems, awareness of emotions and their expression in a safe environment. Working in a group, participants are able to better understand the world of their feelings and experiences, to see what are their relations with people surrounding them. The trend of art therapy is a personal training through other people‘s understanding, tolerance and acceptance.
The main purpose of communication training can be:
Improvement of communication quality with people around – it makes the satisfaction of interaction and contact greater;
Development of personal competence – this is an abilty to understand and accept the people around, to communicate and collaborate with them constructively;
Understanding of variuos problems and the commonality of human experiences;
Development of interests and motivation;
Actualization and understanding of personal needs, opening up the internal resources and creative abilities;
New searches for spontaneity and ability to experiment;
Development of capability to be independent, willingness to take responsibility for your actions and faculty of getting out of difficult situations;
Disclosure and adjustment of non-functional behavioral models;
Understanding and expression of feelings and needs.
Training program is arranged in accordance with company‘s goals and needs, followed by discussion with the group‘s leaders. Depending on the expected results, these might be a 1-2 days training or cycle of trainings.
